E’ stato abbattuto l’ecomostro di Alimuri, a Vico Equense, uno scheletro di cemento che da 50 anni deturpava la suggestiva costiera sorrentina. Costruito sulla bellissima spiaggia di Alimuri, è stato al centro di una dura battaglia giudiziaria e ambientalista. Secondo quanto denunciato da Legambiente, la Campania guida la classifica nazionale dei reati legati al ciclo del cemento con 838 illeciti accertati, in cui si stima siano ben 60mila le case costruite illegalmente in dieci anni.
L’ecomostro di Alimuri e’ stato demolito da 60 kg di esplosivo. Il rudere del maxi albergo si e’ accartocciato su se stesso per effetto di 1200 microcariche esplosive. L’abbattimento e’ avvenuto 50 anni dopo il blocco dei lavori e una lunga battaglia giudiziaria. Dal mare, a bordo di una nave veloce messa a disposizione dalla Snav, la demolizione trasformata in un evento-spettacolo e’ stata seguita da circa 250 invitati, vip e giornalisti. Sulla spiaggia di Meta di Sorrento si sono raccolte alcune centinaia di persone. Qualcuno, approfittando della temperatura mite e dello scirocco, ha fatto anche il bagno. Sulla spiaggia anche alcune scolaresche ed una quarantina di barche che hanno seguito l’evento dal mare.
Una barca di Legambiente ha seguito via mare l’abbattimento esponendo lo storico striscione ‘Abbattiamolo’. ”E’ una grande giornata di legalità e giustizia”, commenta la direttrice generale di Legambiente Rossella Muroni. ”Chiediamo l’inserimento dei reati ambientali nel nostro codice penale”.
