Un’opera di street art dedicata a Giancarlo Siani per raccontare la vita del giovane giornalista pubblicista napoletano ammazzato dalla camorra il 23 settembre 1985. Il murale sarà realizzato dal duo di artisti Orticanoodles.
A trentuno anni dalla morte di Giancarlo Siani, realizzeremo un’opera di street che racconti la vita del giovane giornalista pubblicista napoletano ammazzato dalla camorra il 23 settembre 1985, esattamente qualche giorno dopo aver compiuto 26 anni.
“Abbiamo scelto di realizzare l’opera con una sottoscrizione popolare: sarebbe stato il modo che forse Giancarlo avrebbe scelto. A noi è sembrato quello giusto. Per cui, se vi va, aiutateci a far tornare per sempre Giancarlo lì dove ha vissuto i suoi 26 anni” (Paolo Siani)
L’opera:
L’opera sarà realizzata dagli street artisti di fama internazionale Orticanoodles, pseudonimo del duo Wally e Alita, e racconterà la vita e non già la morte del giovane giornalista napoletano, svelando ciò in cui Giancarlo Siani credeva: il sogno della legalità e la coscienza civile.
Il cantiere creativo sarà avviato durante il mese di settembre prossimo sul muro di cinta antistante lo stabile in cui Giancarlo Siani è nato e cresciuto a Napoli in via Vincenzo Romaniello, a pochi metri dal quale il 23 settembre 1985 perse la vita, e sarà inaugurato il 23 settembre 2016.

Dopo aver portato la street art nella periferia est di Napoli all’interno del Parco Merola di Ponticelli, ormai noto come Parco dei Murales, e a seguito della realizzazione dell’opera ”Gennaro” realizzata dall’artista partenopeo Jorit AGOch, INWARD – Osservatorio sulla Creatività Urbana promuove un intervento dedicato alla figura di Giancarlo Siani, chiedendo il sostegno del popolo napoletano.
Lo staff di INWARD curerà l’intera gestione del progetto con il sostegno di Paolo Siani, fratello di Giancarlo.

Gli Orticanoodles hanno accolto e sposato l’intera iniziativa e per l’occasione hanno pensato e realizzato gadget in edizione limitata.
