L’annuncio della morte di Carlo Pedersoli, questo il vero nome dell’attore, è stato dato dal figlio Giuseppe: «Papà è volato via serenamente alle 18.15. Non ha sofferto, aveva tutti noi accanto e la sua ultima parola è stata “grazie”».
Per tutti era il gigante buono che menava sganassoni sempre in coppia con l’amico Terence Hill. L’omone barbuto degli spaghetti western degli anni ’70, quelli che hanno conquistato generazioni di ragazzini innamorati dei due scanzonati protagonisti di Lo chiamavano Trinità.
Ma Carlo Pedersoli, classe 1929, per tutti Bud Spencer, morto questa sera in un ospedale romano, è stato in realtà protagonista di una carriera lunga e poliedrica nella quale, accanto ai film più popolari, c’è stato spazio per il thriller (diretto da Dario Argento in Quattro mosche di velluto grigio), per il cinema d’autore con Ermanno Olmi e persino per il dramma di denuncia civile con Torino nera di Carlo Lizzani.
