NAPOLI. Ricordate la famosa foto in cui il neo sindaco di Milano, Beppe Sala, in piena campagna elettorale, sorride a bordo di uno scooter, guidato da un giovane ragazzo con cui sembra ormai diventato inseparabile? Il giovane in questione, diventato ormai l’ombra dell’ex ad Expo si chiama Daniele Mascolo e ha 33 anni.
A Milano Mascolo faceva il fotografo freelance per alcune agenzie di stampa, seguendo in prevalenza la cronaca. Ma nel 2012 entra a far parte della grande squadra di Expo, dove gli viene affidata la realizzazione di alcuni servizi fotografici che riguardano la manifestazione.
Come si legge sul sito Open Expo, il portale sulla trasparenza dei dati, sotto la voce “amministrazione trasparente”, a Mascolo vengono commissionati 6 diversi lavori, tra il luglio del 2012 e l’ottobre del 2015, registrati come “servizi fotografici a chiamata al fine di documentare le attività di comunicazione esterna della società quali eventi o conferenze stampa”. L’importo complessivo del lavoro effettuato in questi anni è di circa 131mila 600 euro.
Ma chi ha portato Mascolo in Expo? E come è stato selezionato, tra la mole di validi fotografi che lavorano sul territorio nazionale? Di certo deve essere piaciuto molto perché Mascolo, una volta esaurite le commesse in Expo (l’ultima è di ottobre 2015, a chiusura della manifestazione), Beppe Sala lo arruola prima come fotografo ufficiale della sua campagna elettorale, poi – una volta aggiudicatosi la vittoria a sindaco di Milano – se lo porta in Comune, come testimonia la foto che lo ritrae intento a documentare con una superottica la prima seduta del nuovo consiglio comunale, lo scorso 7 luglio.
Per lui dovrebbe esserci pronto un incarico come fotografo ufficiale del sindaco: nomina che potrebbe essere formalizzata con una delibera – così come per altre figure dello staff – nelle prossime riunioni di consiglio. Eppure qualcosa al sindaco Sala, o alla sua squadra, deve essere clamorosamente sfuggito. Perché a leggere quello che Mascolo scriveva sulle bacheche dei suoi account social non molto tempo fa, emerge una figura assai diversa da quella entusiasta, moderata, convintamente di sinistra che è apparsa in questi lunghi mesi di campagna elettorale.
Se in un post fb del primo novembre del 2015 Mascolo, abbracciato al sindaco Sala e al suo neoportavoce Stefano Gallizzi (ex ufficio stampa di Expo), scriveva “Siamo una grande famiglia #expomilano2015”, la musica cambia, sulla sua bacheca, non molto tempo prima. Dove i messaggi di pace, egualitarismo, rispetto delle diseguaglianze, lotta per i diritti civili, sostegno al centro sinistra, antifascismo, lasciano spazio a post di ben altro tenore.
Ed è tutto un inneggiare a slogan razzisti e fascisti contro i neri, i rom, i meridionali, gli omosessuali e i comunisti: da “zingaro di merda”, “negro di merda”, “scimmie”, “terroni”, a “finocchi” e “froci”, per non parlare degli insulti verso Milano che viene definita “una città di merda” e soprattutto verso la precedente amministrazione di centrosinistra guidata da Pisapia, che nel migliore dei casi viene salutata con il post “il vento che cambia puzza sempre più di merda”.
E che dire della sua appartenenza politica? Molto lontana da quella di sinistra celebrata durante l’intera campagna elettorale, accanto al sindaco Sala. Una delle cose più gentili che scrive è “Avanti Lega, indietro i clandestini!” o “Più rum, meno rom”. Ma la sua ossessione, in tempi purtroppo tristemente puntuali, come la cronaca ci rammenta, sono proprio le persone di colore e i clandestini.
Il 5 gennaio del 2014, scrive “Il campionato italiano è un campionato di scimmie”, utilizzando l’insulto che ha fatto scattare la rissa che a Fermo è costata la vita al nigeriano Emmanuel Chidi Namdi, il cui funerale è appena stato celebrato alla presenza delle più alte cariche dello stato, proprio per portare un messaggio di solidarietà e di antirazzismo. Insulto che ripete più volte, come il 27 maggio del 2011, in pieno delirio calcistico, quando posta un ritornello razzista da stadio: “Eto’o, Et’o, Et’o dopo la metro.. t’hanno visto con le scimmie, con le scimmie allo zoo!”.
“Mentre qualche anno prima, nel 2010, si sfogava “Dida, sei veramente un negro di merda! Non ho altro da dire! Negro!”, e, nel febbraio dello stesso anno, dopo aver presumibilmente scattato delle foto di cronaca a Milano: “Di ritorno dagli scontri di via Padova. Negri di merda!”, “cacciare gli extracomunitari a calci nel culo! Senza se e senza ma!”. “Ballotelli non sei italiano, sei soltanto un negro africano!”.
Ma non finisce qui. Mascolo ne ha anche per i rom. Quando nel giugno del 2011, un’auto guidata a Milano da 4 rom minorenni in fuga da una rapina travolge e uccide un milanese di 28 anni, il fotografo scrive: “Adesso li abbracciate ancora i vostri fratelli rom? Benvenuti nella Milano di Vendola, la Milano arancione”. Mentre qualche giorno prima, il 31 maggio, posta “Più Rum, meno Rom, Vendola frocio indegno!” e “Stankovic, ci rivediamo ai semafori di viale Marche, zingaro di merda”.
La musica non cambia per i meridionali, cui riserva i peggiori ritornelli da stadio: “Vesuvio, facci un regalo, bruciali!”, “Cannavaro napoletano, la Padania esiste!”, “In campo 11 africani, in piazza Duomo a festeggiare da veri napoletani. Merde!”, “Napoli merda, Napoli colera, sei la rovina dell’Italia intera!”.
Anche sull’integrazione degli immigrati, uno dei punti fondanti della campagna elettorale di Sala, in tempi di allarme profughi ed emergenza attentati, Mascolo sembra avere idee molto diverse da quelle del suo sindaco: “Mi manca di sentire che dobbiamo ospitare anche i libici. Ma vaffanculo!”, post cui segue anche un suo commento di risposta a chi era intervenuto: “Il bello è che la gente dice pure “eh, ma è un popolo che si deve salvare.. sai scappano dalla guerra.. ma scappassero in Francia e in Germania e non in Italia! Che palle! Te lo dico da anni che devi votare Lega Nord!!!!!” (febbraio 2011).
Una fede politica, quella nei confronti della Lega, che ricorre più volte: “La risposta agli scontri di oggi è Lega Nord lega Nord Lega Nord!!” – scriveva nel 2009 – così come chiaro appare il suo “gradimento”, si fa per dire, nei confronti del Partito Democratico: “Dopo 3 ore di congresso del Pd, ne ho veramente pieni i coglioni, partito di merda!” (6 settembre 2009) e “Non capisco come sia possibile far iniziare una trasmissione con un demente” – si riferisce al giornalista Michele Santoro – “che girando su se stesso canta “Oh bella Ciao… comunisti = merde!” (25 settembre 2009): proprio quel “Bella Ciao” che lo stesso Mascolo intonava, insieme al suo sindaco e alla squadra di militanti ed elettori, la sera della vittoria, a Palazzo Marino, mentre Sala si abbracciava a Pisapia.
Forse vale la pena ricordare al neo sindaco di Milano di scegliere con più accuratezza – la prossima volta – i suoi collaboratori, retribuiti, tra l’altro, con denaro pubblico. Mentre la città sta dispiegando le sue risorse per cercare di fare fronte al nuovo flusso di migrazione, cui offrire un’accoglienza dignitosa, nonostante l’esaurimento dei posti a disposizione, e in un periodo in cui si è riproposta, all’agenda cittadina, la vecchia questione della costruzione della moschea, interrotta nella precedente amministrazione, avere accanto un collaboratore che inneggia al razzismo con slogan così violenti, non pare affatto un buon esempio da dare alla città.
