Cayetano Morales, giovane studente di veterinaria e turista di Madrid: “Napoli è una delle città più belle che ho visto, piena di storia, magica e misteriosa”, ha detto, “però tanta gente mi aveva messo in guardia sul fatto che fosse una città pericolosa…”
Quella mattina era andato presso la sede delle Poste di via Bellini, nei pressi di piazza Dante, per fare un bonifico e aspettava il suo turno. Complice il caldo, mentre se ne stava seduto, fu stato colto da una certa sonnolenza. Quando sul display apparve il suo numero, lo spagnolo si accorse solo all’ultimo momento e si precipito’ allo sportello senza accorgersi che sulla sediolina accanto alla sua aveva lasciato il suo i-Phone.
Conclusa l’operazione, il giovane ando’ via, dimenticandosi del suo cellulare. E solo poco dopo, quando l’agenzia stava ormai per chiudere, si è reso conto che non ce l’aveva più.
Subito si era ricordato dove l’aveva lasciato, e allora gli venne in mente tutti i discorsi che gli avevano fatto gli amici prima di partire per Napoli: là rubano tutto! Se perdi una cosa non la ritrovi più! Non distrarre mai, Napoli è…. una città di ladri!
A Madrid, come in qualunque altra città, ben difficilmente avrebbe avuto la possibilità di ritrovarlo: figuriamoci a Napoli, la città dei ladri!
Disperato, lo studente corse comunque verso l’ufficio postale, anche perché perdere lo smartphone, al di là del suo valore commerciale, voleva dire perdere tutti i dati, gli appunti, i numeri di telefono….
Una volta entrato nell’agenzia appena in tempo prima che chiudesse. Subito, con orrore, si è accorto che sulle sedie non c’era proprio nulla: il cellulare era stato rubato!
Stava già imprecando tra sé e sé, quando una voce l’ha chiamato: «Signore!», gli ha detto sorridendo un’impiegata, dal di là dello sportello: «Sbaglio o questo è suo?» e ha mostrato il cellulare.
«Sì!» ha esclamato Cayetano, raggiante.
«Venga, venga, l’ha trovato poco fa un signore e subito ce l’ha consegnato!».
«Mi vergogno delle cose che ho pensato» ha detto Cayetano, «Napoli è bella, ma la gente lo è ancora di più! A Madrid non lo ritrovavo più…. Non vedo l’ora di raccontare a tutti quello che mi è capitato!»
