Papa Francesco in visita a Napoli, il prossimo 21 marzo, dovrebbe varcare i cancelli del carcere di Poggioreale. Dopo l’arrivo in elicottero a Scampia alle 9.30 in piazza Giovanni Paolo II, dove incontrerà alcuni rappresentanti istituzionali e del mondo del lavoro e l’incontro in Duomo con i sacerdoti della diocesi e i vescovi della regione, il Pontefice dovrebbe spostarsi a Poggioreale e pranzare all’interno del carcere insieme ai detenuti.
Nel pomeriggio poi è previsto l’incontro a piazza del Plebiscito con i giovani e infine, alle 17, dovrebbe celebrare la messa alla rotonda Diaz, come già anticipato dal cardinale arcivescovo Crescenzio Sepe al momento dell’annuncio. Gli appuntamenti, anticipati nei giorni scorsi dai media locali, sono oggi sul sito “Il Sismografo”, informato in tempo reale sull’attività del Papa e della Santa Sede.
Il 30 dicembre dell’anno scorso, commentando nell’omelia pronunciata proprio a Poggioreale la volontà di Bergoglio di compiere una visita pastorale a Napoli, lo stesso Sepe disse: “Francesco a Napoli vorrà incontrare i detenuti o gli ammalati”. “Sicuramente – erano state le sue parole – oltre le istituzioni vorrà un contatto con realtà concrete che potrebbero certamente essere un carcere e un ospedale”.
“Conoscendo Papa Francesco – erano state le sue parole – credo che certamente la visita a un carcere o un ospedale non la mancherà. Se dovesse venire qui naturalmente questi detenuti gli parleranno, perchè oltre le istituzioni ci vuole un contatto diretto e credo che la stessa cosa potrebbe esserci anche per un ospedale. Dipende poi da quante ore lui riesce a fermarsi, visto che avrà certamente anche un incontro con i sacerdoti”.
