A Napoli a breve avrà il suo Museo Archeologico Etrusco. Ospiterà la collezione fiorentina dell’ex collegio ” alle querce ” , trasferendola al Collegio Francesco Denza e sarà inaugurato il 18 febbraio 2015 alle ore 17.00 presso la sede dell’istituto in Via Coroglio 9 a Napoli…
La storia inizia fra il 1869 e il 1882, quando il Padre barnabita Leopoldo De Feis, per dotare il collegio fiorentino “Alle Querce” di un museo didattico, mise insieme un collezione di arte etrusca, una delle poche private esistenti al mondo e anche una fra le più importanti. E’ composta da oltre ottocento reperti che vanno dall’Età del Bronzo all’età imperiale severiana. Un patrimonio archeologico e storico-artistico che nel 2003 è stato classificato “di eccezionale interesse” da parte della Soprintendenza per i Beni e le Attività Culturali della Regione Toscana. Purtroppo dal 2005 con la chiusura del collegio “Alle Querce”, la collezione fu trasferita a Villa San Paolo, unica sede barnabita rimasta a Firenze, ma da allora è finita in un deposito, definitivamente sottratta alla pubblica fruizione.
Ecco che finalmente, nell’intento di fornire alla collezione una nuova sede degna della sua importanza, il Padre Provinciale dei Barnabiti di Napoli, Pasquale Rillo, ha fatto in modo che essa fosse ”adottata” dal Collegio Francesco Denza dando vita al Museo Archeologico Etrusco “De Feis” che sarà inaugurato il 18 febbraio 2015 alle ore 17.00 presso la sede dell’istituto in Via Coroglio 9 dove rimarrà aperta al pubblico e alle scuole su richiesta (tel. 081/5757533). L’allestimento è stato curato dalla dott.ssa Fiorenza Grasso che ha selezionato i reperti destinati all’eposizione.
L’operazione è stata possibile grazie all’attivazione di Padre Riillo presso la Soprintendenza della Toscana che ha consentito il trasferimento fin dal luglio del 2014. Nell’imminenza dell’inaugurazione, padre Riillo ha sottolineato la necessità di valorizzare un patrimonio che è sì una importante testimonianza delle civiltà del passato ma è anche espressione di un contesto storico e culturale ottocentesco che è giusto far conoscere. Tutto ciò sarà da febbraio a disposizione della città di Napoli e di tutti coloro che vorranno visitare il nuovo Museo.E’ noto come il territorio controllato direttamente dagli Etruschi comprendesse, fin dai tempi più antichi, anche vasti possedimenti in Campania noti come Etruria campana. Il geografo greco Strabone ricorda infatti come gli Etruschi, estendessero il loro dominio anche in Campania sino all’Agro Picentino (nel Salernitano), e come vi fondassero ben dodici città, replicando il modello della dodecapoli già attuato nell’Etruria propriamente detta. Fra le varie città (Nola, Nocera, Ercolano, Pompei, Sorrento, Marcina, Velcha, Velsu, Irnthi, Uri, Hyria), quella di Capua avrebbe rivestito un ruolo di particolare rilievo. Mi piace ricordare questo particolare storico perchè nella collezione del Museo che sta per essere inaugurato a Napoli compaiono anche 47 reperti di ceramiche campane che nel 1875 erano state donate ai barnabiti dai d’Avalos celebre famiglia nobile napoletana di origine spagnola. Sono pezzi quasi tutti provenienti dal territorio di Montesarchio (Benevento) sede dell’antico insediamento di Caudium.
Fra gli altri reperti vi sono inoltre numerosi oggetti provenienti da Orvieto, come un gruppo di buccheri del VI sec. a.C. in parte ricevuti in donazione da privati e in parte acquistati dal collegio di padre De Feis fra il 1881 e il 1882. Non mancano iscrizioni funerarie ed epigrafiche, bolli laterizi di età romana, una serie di ex voto in terracotta di provenienza tiburtina e diverse altre testimonianze provenienti dall’Italia del Sud, dalla Libia e dalla Grecia.
