La lotta contro il vandalismo spray dei monumenti ha trovato validi alleati. Il fenomeno è sempre più frequente e violento nelle città,quasi inarrestabile, vandali incivili che ledono l’immagine e la storia di un intero popolo. L’ iniziativa e’ partita dall’ organizzazione culturale “Sii turista della tua città” formata da comuni cittadini innamorati di Partenope e che già in diverse occasioni si riuniscono per ridare lustro alle zone in degrado della città. Sabato 24 gennaio 2015 si sono ritrovati presso la fontana di piazzetta Monteoliveto a Napoli, ripulendola dalle scritte che ne coprivano la vasca e le statue marmoree. La fontana e’ da sempre vittima di attacchi vandalici, graffiti e spray su un monumento del 600′, nel pieno centro storico.
Ecco come i cittadini di “Sii turista della tua città” hanno commentato del loro eroico evento:
Sabato è stata una giornata per noi e per tutti coloro che erano presenti, una giornata incredibile, emozionante, viva.
Si possono tranquillizzare le persone che hanno così a cuore le fontane di Napoli a tal punto ancora da scrivere che vogliono sapere cosa abbiamo utilizzato. Abbiamo utilizzato:
Impacchi di bicarbonato (naturale quindi), diluenti, tutti miscelati con acqua per renderli meno aggressivi, spugnette e retine sono state utilizzate solo dove la situazione era critica e la pittura non andava via.
Se avete dubbi o critiche da muovere, v’invitiamo ad andare presso la fontana e vedere come è tornata pulita, splendente e bella!
A noi non piace chi si lamenta e crea scocciature.
Noi siamo attivi e costruttivi e cosa fondamentale pratici!
E’ stato incredibile quando un gruppo di ragazzini giovanissimi ( 15-17 anni ) si sono avvicinati a noi ed hanno detto:
” Questa scritta l’ho fatta io 4 anni fa ma adesso voglio pulirla con voi!! ” Così è stato, quello “scugnizzello” ( amorevole ) ha ripulito di sua spontanea iniziativa al nostro fianco.
E’ stato incredibile quando dei passanti ignoti, fuggiti subito ci hanno fatto portare crocchè e pizzette per farci fare pausa cibo e poi tornare a lavoro.
Siamo orgogliosi che una ragazza Serena Greco abbia fatto 600km per venire al nostro fianco a pulire.
Siamo onorati di poter essere Napoletani e lo dimostreremo ancora, e ancora, non abbiamo intenzione di cedere agli sfiduciati ed ai distruttivi neanche un centimetro, niente.
Siamo nella Rivoluzione Culturale Napoletana e se anche i giornali non parlano delle nostre gesta assieme a chi come voi ci supporta, non importa, l’importante che i vostri cuori ci conoscano e si riconoscano con noi.
Lunga vita alla Sirena Partenope.”

A Taranto in puglia esiste una piazza omonima che nn ha fontane ed è molto più piccola. Situata nella citta vecchia, luogo abbandonato dalle istituzioni e lasciato alla mercé di tutti, rivive oggi grazie all’aiuto di un gruppo di cittadini volontari tra cui io (come voi la fontana, noi abbiamo recuperato una lapide commemorativa di un noto musicista Tarantino G.Paisiello 1872, sempre cn bicarbonato). Non abbiamo associazione, abbiamo però redatto un progetto che suscita l’interesse di tutta la cittadinanza e nn solo “DOMUSARMENORUM”. Questo progetto promuove la Gestione Partecipata del Patrimonio Culturale Diffuso (abbiamo anche reso fruibile una chiesa rinascimentale S.Andrea degli Armeni) è quindi dovere del cittadino prendersi cura dei propri beni così come state facendo voi.
